Heirloom seeds are near and dear to my heart. What are they? Heirloom seeds are from plants that have not been genetically modified. This includes hybridization, which produces plants that have seeds that don’t generally produce copies of the parent plants. I won’t get into the political or ethical issues here, but I will just say… Why plant plain old plants, when you can plant gorgeous, great tasting food that has been grown for many years? I know there are more, but these are a few that I frequent.
